History
History is the list of every sale taken on this register. Use it to look up an order, reprint a receipt, check how a customer paid, or start a refund or void.
Before you can open History, pick your team profile from the prompt. Your name is shown as a chip at the top right; tap it to switch operator.
What you see
Section titled “What you see”Under the search bar there is a Past Sales Total card that adds up every sale in the current view — so if you apply filters, the total reflects only what is visible.
The main table shows one row per sale, most recent first, with:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Date | Date the sale was closed. |
| Sale No. | Sequential sale number on the register. |
| Tab Name | The tab the sale was run against, if any. |
| Server | First name of the team member who rang it up. |
| Currency | Currency used for the sale. |
| Payment | Cash, card, a specific card type, or Multiple for split payments. |
| Status | The sale’s current state (for example, paid, refunded, void). |
| Processing | For card sales, whether the card has settled, is still processing, or has been fully reversed. |
| Total | Sale total. |
| Tip | Tip taken. |
| Tendered | Amount the customer handed over. |
| Cash Out | Cash back given to the customer, where applicable. |
| Balance / Change | Change returned or outstanding balance. |
If a sale has been refunded in part or in full, you’ll see an i icon next to its status — tap it to see how many refunds have been issued, how much has gone back, and when the latest refund was taken.
Searching and filtering
Section titled “Searching and filtering”Use the search box to match on sale number, tab name, payment method, or status.
The filter controls beside the search let you narrow by:
- Status — for example paid, refunded, void
- Payment — for example cash, card, multiple
- Tab — to pull up every sale run against a particular tab
On phones, all three are grouped behind the filter icon. On a desktop screen, each has its own drop-down. The filter icon turns amber when one or more filters are active so you can tell at a glance.
Opening a sale
Section titled “Opening a sale”Tap the magnifying-glass icon at the end of any row to open that sale. A drawer slides in from the right with the full detail:
- Line items, prices, and quantities
- Tip, tender, change, and any cash back
- Every payment that made up the sale — useful for split payments
- The current status
From the drawer you can:
- Print — reprint the receipt exactly as it was.
- Close — return to the list.
Refunds and voids
Section titled “Refunds and voids”Open the sale you want to reverse, then choose the payment you want to refund or void.
- Refund returns the money to the customer. Use this on a sale that has already settled, or when the customer wants a refund in a different tender.
- Void cancels a card payment that is still processing with the card network, so the customer is never charged. If a card sale can still be voided instead of refunded, the drawer offers Void automatically.
You can’t start a refund or void on a sale that is already refunded, voided, or cancelled, or on a refund receipt itself. If a sale no longer qualifies, the drawer shows a short message explaining why.
When a refund is created, it appears at the top of the History list straight away, and the original sale picks up the info icon so everyone can see the refund history.
- The Processing column is your fastest check that card money has actually landed — a card sale with settled here has cleared.
- A sale with Payment set to Multiple is a split payment. Opening it shows every leg separately, and you can refund one leg at a time.
- Clear the search box and reset the filters to All statuses, All payments, All tabs to return to the full list.
