Sales
The Sales section covers the full sales workflow in Acqui App, from pipeline management through to invoicing.
How the documents relate
Section titled “How the documents relate”Sales documents are a progression, but each one is an independent record — there is no automatic conversion that locks the source document or writes a parent reference:
- Pipeline deals are forecast-only. Marking a deal Won does not create work on its own.
- Estimates and Quotes are workflow documents with no accounting effect.
- Jobs (under Work) carry scope, markup, and completion tracking for committed work.
- Invoices are the first document that posts to your books — they drive Accounts Receivable, VAT output, and Sales Revenue.
- Purchase Orders cover the supplier side; the matching Supplier Invoice is what posts to Accounts Payable.
When you move from one stage to the next, create the new record and prefill it from the prior one — the client, contact, and line items carry over, and the two records stay independently editable for reference.
All sales documents share the same line-item contract, so catalog items (including Discount and Surcharge items configured under Finance → Line Items) behave consistently across Estimates, Quotes, Jobs, Invoices, and Purchase Orders.
