Work
The Work section covers operational delivery in Acqui App, including job management, task tracking, timesheets, expense recording, and scheduled reports.
How the work records fit together
Section titled “How the work records fit together”- Jobs are the centre of gravity — a scoped piece of client work with a price, a margin target, and a delivery date. Most other work records link back to a job.
- Tasks are freeform to-dos. They can be attached to a client, contact, or pipeline deal, but they do not move money or affect job costing.
- Timesheets log time against a job. Approved time flows into the job’s profitability calculation and can be billed onto a client invoice.
- Expenses capture costs incurred by a team member, optionally against a job. Once an expense is approved it counts as a real cost on your P&L; it is cleared from what you owe when it is paid.
- Schedules are the delivery mechanism for automated data-grid reports — not a type of work record. They live under Work because that is where the schedule list sits in the UI.
