Cash Rounding
Use Company Profile to define the default cash-rounding behavior for Acqui POS.
Where to Set It
Section titled “Where to Set It”Open Company Profile and set:
Default POS Rounding PrecisionDefault POS Rounding Policy
These values are used when Acqui POS calculates the final rounded cash settlement amount.

South Africa Guidance
Section titled “South Africa Guidance”- South African VAT guidance refers to rounding to the
nearest circulated coin. - The official guidance does not clearly prescribe one software midpoint rule such as
Half Up,Half Down, orHalf Even. - Because of that, Acqui lets your business choose the midpoint rule that matches your operational policy.
Fallback Behavior
Section titled “Fallback Behavior”If no company default is set, Acqui POS falls back to:

Half Even
Important Rule
Section titled “Important Rule”- Cash rounding applies to the final cash settlement amount.
- Do not treat cash rounding as a line-by-line item pricing rule.
- Card and other non-cash payments should not rely on cash-rounding behavior.
